Gang,
what word do I reserve for Joe Rockhead's theory of
gravitation, which says "the force between objects of mass varies as
the inverse cube?"

One needs two words for such a theory -- EXTREMELY WRONG!! Caps and
exclamation points also help.


I am reminded of the story about Wolfgang Pauli (If I remember correctly);
allegedly he was castigating a theory, of someone else, and uttered what I
gathered to the severest of scientific opprobrium, namely that the proposed
theory of the competitor was so bad that "it wasn't even wrong".
