For yeas I’ve imagined feeding a vacuum line with magnetrons, my own personal linac.  Finally searched microwave+x-band+transmission "salt block” <https://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=microwave%2Bx-band%2Btransmission++%22salt+block%22&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8> for another reason and up pops up the above.  Yes, includes phase locking, so evidently possible.  

Klystrons are very expensive several hundred watt magnetrons are practically free at thrift shops.  

Of course Denker will write I’m all wet.
