I have little quarrel with the above if "usual reference frame" refers to an
inertial reference frame and if students have been properly prepared for
what that means.

OTOH, if the "usual frame" means the frame that the student usually finds
themselves, then no.  As quite often a student will find themselves in the
frame of a car making a tight turn. . .
