Ah Hah!  I often wondered about that.  Back when I rode a motorcycle every
day, I payed careful attention to the weather forcast for that day to see what
preparations involving rain gear I should make.  By experience I learned that
for rain forecasts up to 60%, not to worry about it.  If the forecast was
70%, I
figured on a 50% chance of getting rained on.  For a forecast of 80% and above
I was pretty sure to get wet.

I live on the gulf coast, by the way.
